Carney’s budget is one for boys

Althia Raj/Toronto Star: The largest measures that benefit men also align with measures that benefit the richest in our society, “predominantly high-income people,” such as the budget’s flagship $36-billion Productivity Mega Deduction, the $715-million Canada Growth Incentive (the one that gives tech bros a $15-million tax break), another $100 million for investors to scale at home, and the AI investments. 

…So it’s perhaps interesting that the largest photo of the budget is an 18-member construction crew, 14 of whom appear to be men; or, exactly the government’s own depiction of who its budget will help…
