Union warns foreign ministry cuts will hamper delivery of Carney doctrine 

The Hill Times: “You’re talking about an ambitious agenda, but you’re cutting the tools to implement that agenda,” said Pamela Isfeld, the president of the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO). “It’s like the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.” 

She said that Carney’s new vision for Canada’s foreign policy would require “a strong foreign service, and a strong foreign ministry.”…
