Talks in Washington: President Donald Trump is now meeting with European leaders alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House. He earlier met separately with Zelensky in the Oval Office. Trump said he plans to phone Russian President Vladimir Putin following today’s meetings.

Donald Trump has said the Ukrainian president can end Russia’s war “if he wants to”, but there will be “no going into Nato by Ukraine” as part of a peace deal…

“When it comes to security, there’s going to be a lot of help,” Trump said, adding that European countries would be involved. “They are a first line of defence because they’re there, but we’ll help them out.”
