New York Times: The report, titled “A Clear and Present Danger,” is not the first time the group has warned about the growing threat from drones. While there have been no publicly reported major attacks by drones within the United States, the easier access to cheaper drones has dramatically increased the technology’s “potential to inflict chaos and carnage,” the report states, particularly if they were to be used with A.I.

In New York City, about 23,000 illegal drone flights are reported monthly, the report said.
